SO I have been doing A LOT of thinking about this box/room decor project and my mind keeps buzzing about al the different possibilities I could come up with as far as packaging, design, etc. etc....i forgot who said to use a box as a starting point, then design the packaging based on its contents, so thats what i have been doing.....we'll see!

also - info graphic....i started my concept, and its going to be a play on facebook and its "influence" in my life....basically its going to be a snapshot of who i am through who i am on facebook. its a blowup of my fingerprint, and for the black lines of it (what would show if you were inked and fingerprinted), is going to be all of the information that i have on my page - from my "friends", to groups i am in, events i am invited to, etc.....this will be a progressive work, as i will start if for the class, but want to end it on my bday, which is 12/23. So therefore it will be a concept of who i am on my 26th birthday.

So below are some text options for this project. I don't know why I was having such a hard time figuring out what do do. Ok, yes I do - everything I thought of what either a real product, which I found out with Gen's help (rolling pin back massager) or I was completely grossed out with having even thought of it (cheese grater callous remover?!! what was I thinking?!). Other things included toilet brush cleaner-round brush, paper towel bra enhancers, ziplock baggies-chocolate pudding fake boobs, or fork back-scratchers. So my lack of productiveness didn't come from my lack of thought process...I just couldnt decide which of these things I would want to package.

Enter my idea for "The Fickle Designer" (bc really, are we ever really satisfied with our work for indefinite periods of time?). This has been in my head since the introduction of the project but bc Gen said "A roll of paper towels could be..." and I finished the sentence with "...disposable wallpaper" I felt like I was cheating in a way. So Gen, thank you for saying "A roll of paper towels could be..."

My idea for this encompasses a few more elements, however. The Fickle Designer would be perfect for the person who (very much like me) cannot decide how they want to decorate a room. My taste changes constantly, and I noticed this when I recently moved. Did I want shabby chic? Did I want modern elegance? Urban-outfitter-dormroom-funkiness??!!! Damask or pinstripes or graffiti or polkadots or black and white or color or what??!??

This product would help a person like me find who I want to be at the end of the day, even if its different from yesterday....(and probably tomorrow....)
